REIKI

Reiki is a universal healing energy that has origins in Japan. It is administered through the practitioner's hands. Some practitioners use hands on, placing their hands directly on the recipient, and some use hands off, hovering hands several inches over the recipient. I use a hands-off approach. While receiving Reiki, the recipient may experience heat, coolness, a pulsing sensation, or a general sense of calm.

What is Tarot? Tarot is a set of 78 cards historically used for games, fortune-telling, and divination. You can think of Tarot as a set of archetypes. I like to think of Tarot as a mirror. It mirrors to us what we can not see in ourselves or situations.

The There are universal meanings and symbols in the Tarot. For example, angels and crowns. Additionally, some images in the Tarot may resonate to some in a more individual way based on their unique experience.

Through connecting to the images and symbols in the cards, Tarot may help you to gain insights, gain clarity around decisions, or simply to connect more deeply to yourself. Self can't see self, so the Tarot helps us see our blind spots.

As a Tarot reader, I hope to use the cards as a supportive tool to empower clients to make positive change in their lives. I don't use Tarot as a way to predict the future or tell you about a third party. When you have a session with me, we will collaborate to find the right question to ask the Tarot. Additionally, I will give you some tasks you can do at home to further integrate your takeaways from the session.

Make ordinary moments magical with a ritual candle

During the infamous pandemic of 2020, I kindled a relationship with the art of candle making. Wanting another creative outlet, I started making little votive candles at home. I was on a mission to learn how to make them as natural as possible, using soy wax, bees wax, spices for color, paper cups for molds, and a crock pot I borrowed from my sister. I learned everything I needed to know on the internet! I have since dropped the soy wax as some folks are allergic. I have also discovered bayberry wax, which I use when I'm feeling fancy. I eventually got my own crock pot that I thrifted.

As my candle making journey progressed, I began to add little crystals to give another touch of magic. Sometimes I'll add crystals to the top of the candle, and sometimes at the bottom as a little hidden treasure. After getting trained in Reiki, I decided to add yet another healing element to the candles by infusing them with Reiki. My intention is for the candle to give off healing energy as it burns.

I am still learning about the art of candle making. I continue to research strategies to make them burn more efficiently and more ways to give them color with natural, non-toxic materials.

My candles have a tendency to crescent as they burn, which reminds me of our celestial goddess the Moon. They start out whole and round like the Moon in her full state. As they burn, they make a lovely crescent, and eventually melt into the New Moon state. My intention for my candles is for them to bring a touch of ritual to your day as well as a way to honor the cyclical patterns in nature (like the moon cycle).

My candles are $8 each. At times I may offer special seasonal candles for a slightly increased price. They are not currently available for sale online or other locations. Standby for more locations to purchase them in the future.

**Safety disclosure: It's always important to practice safety when lighting candles. Do not leave candles unattended. Keep candles away from flammable objects. Keep away from children and pets. Make sure that candles are on fire resistant surfaces. Make sure to keep any foreign materials away from the candle, such as matches.

For candle burning sucess, trim the wick before each burn to 1/4 inch (6 mm).
